Supreme Court Demands Action On Delhi’s Diwali Firecracker Ban

Supreme Court on Monday sought an “immediate” response from the Delhi government and police regarding the firecracker ban during Diwali, which is often announced but largely ignored, leading to severe air pollution in the national capital. The court issued a notice to the Aam Aadmi Party-led government and police, demanding details on enforcement measures for this and next year.
