A tragic accident occurred in Tamil Nadu involving several pilgrims returning from the Subrahmanya Swamy temple in Tiruchendur. While traveling in a mini-van, the vehicle lost control and crashed into a tree on the outskirts of Ulundurpet. Six people died at the scene, and 14 others sustained serious injuries. Police determined that overspeeding was the primary cause of the accident.
