Several Vehicles Collide In Tamil Nadu, 4 Dead & 8 Injured
A massive accident took place in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, on Thoppur Ghat Road on Wednesday. Eight people were injured, and at least four people died in the accident.
A massive accident took place in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, on Thoppur Ghat Road on Wednesday. Eight people were injured, and at least four people died in the accident.
Reacting to the accident in Tamil Nadu, CM MK Stalin announced ₹2 lakh compensation to the deceased families and ₹50,000 compensation for injured people who are under treatment.
The series of events involving four vehicles was captured on CCTV. The footage shows a truck barreling into another vehicle at high speed. One car lost control and toppled off the bridge, and another was crushed by the impact between the two trucks.
One of the trucks caught fire after the incident. As soon as they heard about the event, the fire department arrived on the scene and put out the flames. In response to the incident, Senthil Kumar, a DMK MP from Dharmapuri, requested that the Center finish the ongoing work on the elevated National Highway in order to stop future incidents of this nature.
He continued, “More the reason why we are insisting on the speedy implementation of the sanctioned elevated highway at Thoppur Ghat section in Dharmapuri.”
