Seven college students were arrested in Chennai for setting up an illegal lab to manufacture methamphetamine, commonly known as crystal meth. The accused used the pretext of academic research to assemble the lab equipment. Anti-Drug Intelligence Unit, acting on a tip-off, raided the lab and seized 250 g of crystal meth. It was believed to be intended for comparison with their product.
