Prayers Held In Kamala Harris’ Ancestral Village For Her Victory

In Kamala Harris’ ancestral village of Thulasendrapuram in Tamil Nadu, a Hindu priest conducted prayers for her victory on Tuesday, following the conclusion of her campaign. The temple ceremony, attended by local villagers and a few tourists, featured sacred chants, bells, and offerings of flowers and bananas. Harris’ maternal grandfather, P.V. Gopalan, was born in the village over a century ago.
