On Wednesday, Oct 16, PM Modi extended his heartfelt greetings to National Security Guard (NSG) officials on the 40th foundation day of the NSG. Known as India’s elite counter-terrorism force, the NSG is popularly referred to as the “Black Cats.” It was established on Oct 16, 1984, following ‘Operation Blue Star.’ An official bill was introduced in both houses of Parliament in August 1986.
