Over $459 Billion Transferred Through DBT In Last 8 Years: FM

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that over USD 450 billion has been disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfers in past 8 years. Speaking at Wharton Business School in Philadelphia, she noted that more than 51 central govt ministries manage the DBT initiative. Additionally, around USD 40 million has been saved from fraud and pilferages, showcasing India’s effective digital experience.
