New Snake Species Named After Leonardo DiCaprio Found In Himalayas

A newly discovered snake species in the Himalayas has been named ‘Anguiculus dicaprioi’, honoring actor and environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio. This species is found from central Nepal to Himachal Pradesh, while ‘Anguiculus rappii’ is located in Sikkim, Bhutan, and Arunachal Pradesh. Active from late May to August, little is known about their biology, and ‘Anguiculus rappii’ is considered rare.
