A mentally unsound man was arrested for allegedly vandalising the Goddess Durga idol in Telangana’s Hyderabad. The accused was identified as Krishnaiah Goud. He is a native of Nagarkurnool district. Goud suffers from mental health issues. He admitted to damaging the idol after a breakdown when he couldn’t find food at a Puja pandal at Nampally Exhibition Grounds.
