Maratha Reservation Bill: Why Activist Manoj Jarange Patil Refuses To End Hunger Strike?

The Maratha Reservation bill in the Legislative assembly was passed by the Maharastra government on Tuesday. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that the maratha people will get the 10 percent of reservation in government jobs and education. The Maharastra State Economically and Socially Backward Bill 2024 was passed only with the minister Chhagan Bhujbal, and he was resisting the reservation for the Marathas under the OBC quota.

Manoj Jarange Patil said that the Maratha community desevers reservation under OBC and also said that to approve reservation. The kunbi is a caste in maharastra under the Obc bloc and patils demand for the reservations that are :

All People of Maratha community should be considered as kunbi and given the reservations under the OBC.

The Maharashtra government decided that people who have Nizam-era kunbi documents will get benefits under the reservation bill passed on February 20.
