Manipur: Shutdown Disrupts Daily Life In Imphal Valley

Normal life in five districts of the Imphal Valley, Manipur, was disrupted on Wednesday due to a shutdown called by the Meitei Joint Action Committee (JAC) in response to the kidnapping of 2 youths. Shops closed, vehicles stayed off the roads, and demonstrators blocked streets in Imphal East, Imphal West, Bishnupur, Kakching, and Thoubal districts, with women particularly active in Thoubal.
