Man Arrested For Posing as IPS Officer, Dupes Nashik Businessman Of ₹1 Crore

A 37-year-old man, Gaurav Mishra, was arrested in Nashik for impersonating an IPS officer and defrauding a businessman of ₹1 crore. Mishra, who donned a police uniform and used a fake identity card, befriended the victim in 2018, promising a railway contract. After the victim sought repayment, Mishra threatened him with a revolver and extorted ₹5 lakh monthly, leading to his arrest.
