Kharif crop sowing in India has exceeded 1,104 lakh hectares, with notable increases in paddy, coarse cereals, oilseeds, and sugarcane. Horticulture production is projected at 353.19 million tonnes for 2023-24, supported by a ₹1.52 lakh crore budget outlay.
