A 36-yr-old man from Jammu and Kashmir, Imtiyaz Sheikh, was detained in Khavda, Gujarat, for attempting to cross into Pakistan to meet a woman he met online. He believed he could legally enter through the Kutch border and sought local help for permission. After verifying facts with his family and conducting a preliminary investigation, authorities found no threat and released him later that evening.
