In a significant setback for the popular pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson, a large fine has been imposed in the US. Plaintiff Evan Plotkin claimed he developed mesothelioma due to long-term use of the company’s powder, alleging that the condition resulted from inhaling its fragrance. A Fairfield County jury heard the lawsuit and awarded Plotkin $126 million in damages.
