Italian Surfer Killed By Swordfish In Indonesia

Giulia Manfrini, a 36-year-old Italian surfer, tragically died after being impaled by a swordfish in Indonesia. The incident occurred while she was surfing at a well-known break off the West Coast of Sumatra. Manfrini sustained a fatal stab wound to her chest, approximately 5 cm deep, after the swordfish struck her in the waters near Ombak Bengbeng, close to Masokut Island.
