Israeli police have arrested a couple from Lod, Rafael and Lala Goliev, on suspicion of spying for Iran. They are accused of gathering intelligence on national infrastructures and tracking a female academic. The couple allegedly worked for Azerbaijani national Elshan Agayev, who was recruiting Israelis on behalf of Iranian officials, including conducting surveillance of sensitive sites.
