IMD Issues Red Alert For Several Districts In Maharashtra

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for heavy rainfall in several Maharashtra districts on September 25. Raigad is expected to experience extremely heavy rain, while an orange alert is in effect for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg. Last night’s downpour led to flooding, with Santacruz recording 75 mm of rain by Tuesday morning.
