Former MP Roopa Ganguly Arrested After Night-Long Protest

Former Rajya Sabha MP Roopa Ganguly was arrested on Thursday. This comes after her night-long sit-in demonstration in front of a police station in South Kolkata demanding the release of woman BJP leader Rubi Das. She was arrested as they were protesting against the death of a local schoolboy, who was hit by a payloader used by Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) for road repair purposes.
