Five people were arrested in Tamil Nadu for attempting to sell fake gold coins, falsely claiming they were treasures from an excavation in Tiruvannamalai. Acting on a tip-off, police set a trap and apprehended the gang, led by 62-year-old Dharmalingam, during a deal outside Muraiyar. Authorities recovered 40 grams of counterfeit coins and seized their SUV.
