Madrassa Teacher Arrested For Brutally Abusing Student In Kerala

A Madrassa teacher, Umair Ashrafi, was arrested in north Kerala for allegedly branding a student with an iron box and smearing chilli powder on his private parts over claims of disobedience. After fleeing to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, he was tracked to Tanur, where police apprehended him. Ashrafi was booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and remanded to judicial custody.
