Andhra Pradesh govt approved the first phases of metro rail projects for Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada on Monday, with a total estimated cost of ₹22,507 crore. Visakhapatnam’s Phase-I will cover 46.23 km with three corridors and 42 stations, requiring 99.75 acres of land, costing ₹882 crore. The project is estimated at ₹11,498 crore, with Vijayawada’s project costing ₹11,009 crore.
