Former British Soldier Convicted Of Spying For Iran After Prison Escape

Daniel Khalife, a former British soldier, was convicted of passing sensitive information to Iranian intelligence. Khalife, 23, was found guilty of violating the Official Secrets Act but cleared of planting fake bombs. Despite claiming he wanted to be a double agent for Britain, his actions led to his conviction. Khalife had also gained NATO clearance while serving in the Army.
