World Bank Approves $800 Million Loan For Amaravati Development

World Bank has approved an $800 million loan to fund the development of Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh’s new capital. The loan will support the Amaravati Integrated Urban Development Program, aiming to establish the city as a well-managed, climate-resilient economic hub, generating jobs and improving the lives of residents, particularly the most vulnerable.
