Karnataka HC Rejects Union Bank’s Plea To Transfer Scam Probe To CBI

Karnataka High Court rejected Union Bank of India’s plea to transfer the investigation into the alleged Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation Ltd scam to CBI. Justice M Nagaprasanna stated that allowing such request would set precedent, potentially rendering Delhi Special Police Establishment Act redundant & allowing all banking institutions to make similar demands.
