A special CBI court has convicted a retired GST superintendent, Prasiddh Dubey, and his wife, Vimla Dubey, for amassing unaccounted assets worth ₹1.24 crore, disproportionate to their known income sources, from 1994 to 2018. Prasiddh received a four-year prison sentence, while Vimla was sentenced to two years for aiding him. The judge emphasized the severity of the offense.
