NGT Cites Sewage Discharge For Deteriorating Ganga Water Quality

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has raised concerns about the deteriorating water quality of the Ganga in Uttar Pradesh, attributing it to the discharge of sewage and sullage into the river. The NGT had previously sought compliance reports from various states, including Uttar Pradesh, regarding the prevention and control of pollution in the Ganga.
