Union Govt Approves First All-Women CISF Battalion For Airport Security

Union govt has approved the creation of the first all-women reserve battalion for the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), comprising over 1,000 personnel. This new unit will support CISF’s duties at airports and critical facilities. Battalion will be formed within CISF’s existing force of 200,000 personnel, with specialized training for VIP security, airport, and Delhi Metro duties.
