India’s nationwide Lok Adalat on December 13 will allow settlement of pending traffic challans with 50–100% discounts in 11 states, including Telangana. Eligible violations include no helmet, no seatbelt, signal jumping, overspeeding and old e-challans. Serious offences like drunk driving or hit-and-run are excluded. Settlements will permanently close cases.
