Italy, Japan, UK To Add More Nations For 6th-Gen Fighter

Italy, Japan, and the UK discussed expanding the 6th-gen GCAP jet fighter project during a meeting at the G20 Summit. The countries aim to develop a stealth fighter by 2035 to counter threats from Russia and China. The project merges the UK’s Tempest program with Italy’s and is being developed by BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, Leonardo Aerospace, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.
