Menstrual Leave Must Be Enforced: Karnataka HC

The Karnataka HC directed the state government to strictly and faithfully implement the menstrual leave policy mandating one-day monthly leave for women employees aged 18-52 during menstruation until legislation is enacted. The court said once the Karnataka Menstrual Leave and Hygiene Bill 2025 is passed, rules must be framed to ensure full implementation.
