Ajit Pawar Urges Centre To Remove 20% Export Duty On Onions

Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has urged the Centre to remove the 20% export duty on onions, citing the distress of farmers in Nashik. In a letter to Union Minister Piyush Goyal, he said that farmers are forced to sell their produce at low rates, facing losses due to unseasonal rains and the absence of a minimum support price for onions.
