Madras HC Denies Request To Restrict Early Film Reviews

Madras High Court denied an interim order to restrain individuals or social media channels from reviewing films within three days of their release. Justice S. Sounthar, hearing a petition by the Tamil Film Active Producers Association (TFAPA), stated that reviewers are entitled to express their opinions. TFAPA’s advocate argued that such reviews could defame filmmakers and harm reputations.
