The US has returned over 1,400 looted artefacts worth $10 million to India, part of an ongoing effort to repatriate stolen art. The items, including a celestial dancer sculpture smuggled from India, were trafficked by networks run by convicted art dealer Subhash Kapoor. This marks a significant step in international cultural restitution efforts, with over 578 artefacts returned since 2016.
