Direct Kolkata-Guangzhou Flights Resume After 5 Years

After over four years, direct flights between Kolkata and Guangzhou resumed with IndiGo’s A320 Neo carrying 176 passengers. The service, halted since early 2020 due to COVID-19 and border tensions, now operates daily. Officials said the revival will boost trade, tourism, and strengthen Kolkata’s role as an international aviation hub.
