Rajasthan Police Cautions Against WhatsApp Wedding Invite Cyber Scams

Rajasthan Police’s Cyber Crime branch warned against fraudsters sending WhatsApp wedding invites in APK format to steal personal data and access bank accounts. The APK files, once downloaded, grant full access to the device. Officers advised enabling 2-step verification on WhatsApp and disconnecting from the internet if the file is accidentally installed. Several cases have been reported in Rajasthan.
