Two People Died From Amoebic Meningoencephalitis In Kerala

Amoebic meningoencephalitis claimed the lives of two persons at Kozhikode Medical College. A three-month-old newborn and Ramla, a 52-year-old lady from Malappuram. The infant most likely caught the virus through well water at home. Ramla began treatment on July 8, was transferred to ICU on August 4 as her condition deteriorated, and died today.
