Telangana’s Balanagar Custard Apple To Seek Geographical Recognition

Officials from Srikonda Laxman Telangana Horticultural University have decided to apply for geographical recognition of the custard apple grown in the Balanagar area of Mahbubnagar district. Notably, NABARD has offered assistance of Rs12.70 lakhs for the project. This variety of custard apple, found in the forests of Balanagar, has since spread to the districts of Rangareddy and Vikarabad.
