Ten devotees, including two children, sustained burn injuries during the annual ember walk ritual at Mariyamman temple in Rasipuram, Tamil Nadu, on Wednesday. Despite safety measures, such as a standby rescue team and volunteers, the incident occurred when several devotees slipped and fell into the ember pit. The injured were promptly taken to the District Government Hospital for treatment.
