ISRO Architect Eknath Chitnis Dies At 100

Eknath Vasant Chitnis, ISRO pioneer and Padma Bhushan awardee, passed away peacefully at 100 in Pune today. He was a close aide to Vikram Sarabhai and Chitnis shaped India’s space program, founded TERLS, and led the SITE experiment. Chitnis also inducted APJ Abdul Kalam into ISRO, leaving a profound legacy in Indian space science.
