A four-year-old boy, Rehan, tragically died, and his sister Riya was injured in a wasp attack in Mandia village, Uttarkashi, while returning from school. The attack occurred when the children disturbed a wasp hive near the school. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Rehan succumbed to his injuries. The Uttarakhand government offers compensation for victims of such attacks, with Rs 6 lakh for fatalities.
