Kerala HC Quashes Criminal Case Against Postal Officials Over Waqf Property

Kerala High Court, while quashing criminal proceedings against two Department of Posts officials, observed that Section 52A of the Waqf Act (2013 amendment) does not allow prosecution for alienating waqf property if the occupation predates the amendment. Criminal case was filed by the Kerala State Waqf Board, accusing the officials of illegally alienating waqf property without permission.
