UIDAI Implements New Name Correction Rules For Aadhaar Holders

The UIDAI has updated its rules for name corrections on Aadhaar cards, now requiring a Gazette Notification for any changes. This measure aims to prevent fraud. Alongside this, a second form of ID with the full name must be submitted. While the name change process has become more complex, updating addresses has been simplified, allowing the use of bank passbooks for verification.
