Cyclone Dana Effect: Many Areas In Odisha, Kolkata Face Floods, Trees Down, Power Outs

Cyclone Dana barrelled into Odisha’s coast early Friday, which unleashed winds of up to 120 kph that toppled trees, downed power lines, and sent floodwaters through low-lying areas of Odisha and neighboring West Bengal. Thousands of residents in flood-prone areas were moved to relief camps, with Odisha alone relocating over 300,000 people and West Bengal moving 240,000 more.
