Court Questions Officials Over Document Signed By Manmohan Singh On Jama Masjid

The Delhi High Court criticized authorities for failing to present a file regarding ex-PM Manmohan Singh’s decision not to designate the historic Jama Masjid as a protected monument. The court, led by Justice Prathiba M Singh, demanded the original file and an affidavit from a competent ASI officer by the next hearing in October. It is reviewing PILs to protect the mosque.
