Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk and others from Ladakh paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat and announced their release from police detention after ending their fast. They submitted a memorandum to the government, demanding constitutional protections for Ladakh under the Sixth Schedule. Wangchuk stated they will meet with top leaders, including the prime minister, soon.
