Chief Justice Says Judges Not Gallivanting In Vacation

Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud emphasized that judges are not “gallivanting” during vacations but are dedicated to their work. Speaking at the Loksatta Annual Lecture in Mumbai, he highlighted the increasing complexity and volume of cases judges face. He questioned whether judges receive enough time to think and read about the law, given the enormous backlog of cases in the judiciary.
