The Union Cabinet approved a ₹28,840-crore, 10-year revamp of the UDAN Scheme. It includes 100 new airports, 200 helipads, O&M support for 441 aerodromes, and ₹10,043 crore VGF for airlines. Two HAL Dhruv helicopters and two HAL Dornier aircraft will be procured. UDAN has already operationalized 663 routes, serving 162.47 lakh passengers.
