Canada: Mysterious White Blobs Wash Up On Newfoundland Beaches

Mysterious white blobs have been washing up on Newfoundland’s beaches, described by locals as “doughy” with a strong vegetable oil smell. Since early September, sightings have prompted an investigation into their origin. Environment and Climate Change Canada ruled out petroleum sources, while Fisheries and Oceans Canada confirmed the blobs have no biological or sea sponge origin.
