Heavy rains hit Tamil Nadu on Wednesday, with light to moderate showers expected until March 16, especially in southern districts and Karaikal. The IMD also forecasts rain, thunderstorms, and gusty winds in Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Temperatures in the western Himalayas may drop by 5–6°C over the coming week.
